BIOGRAPHY AND BACKGROUND

Nicolas was Headmaster of the Yehudi Menuhin School for twenty-two years, during which time he worked closely with Yehudi.

 

It was a remarkable experience and gave him many stories about Yehudi Menuhin and what is was like to run his school. His work brought him in touch with musicians, politicians, educators and the puzzled parents of gifted children. He was awarded the MBE in 2011 for services to music education.

With many slides of Yehudi Menuhin and his friends, Nicolas’ talks give an insight into the myths and legends of one of the great musicians and world citizens of the 20th century and into the history of an internationally renowned specialist music school.
