From the moment the guests first arrive, and are greeted with Regency gallantry by the costumed speaker, they sense that this is going to be a "different" occasion.

All of David's material is original, as he recreates the unique experiences that befall a modern-day proclaimer. "More of a performance than a speech" is how many a listener has expressed it.

Placed third in the 1999 World Town Crier Championship, he was a finalist in the 2004 Association of Speakers Clubs National Competition.

David has made many TV and film appearances. He was the Town Crier in Granada TV's "Moll Flanders", and in Steve Coogan's "24 Hour Party People". His unique lifestyle has also been the subject of a television documentary.

If your requirements are for a speaker who is entertaining and amusing without being vulgar, who involves the audience, and who is original to the extent of being totally unlike anyone you have ever heard before, then Town Crier David Mitchell could be just the person you need.

A bulging file of appreciation letters gives eloquent testimony from delighted listeners: "A brilliant and very witty speech"; "A really professional performance and so much appreciated"; "An unforgettable afternoon of brilliant entertainment"; "A great pleasure to enjoy entertainment which is original, witty and inoffensive"; "The talk was not only a visual delight, but was truly thrilling as you held the audience spellbound at every word".
